Winter Activities in New York
Are you looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Plattsburgh, NY; Burlington, VT; Potsdam, Lake Placid, and Malone, NY during the holidays? If so, you’re in luck. We just happen to reside in one of the best areas for seasonal and holiday festivals and fun. Below are a few of our favorite traditional celebrations, and you can get a few more ideas here!
Saranac Lake Winter Carnival– You’ll welcome the chill in the air when you see how beautiful this production is. Known for going beyond expectations, this is one you’ll want to make time for. Really, fireworks over the ice palace says it all.
Adirondack White Out Weekend– Plan ahead for this one. The weekend of February 17-19th, the White Out Weekend is great for families. Full of crafts, kids activities, live music, and wildlife presentations!
Syracuse Winterfest– Featuring both indoor and outdoor events, this is one you want to bring your appetite to. There are tons of cook-offs, trivia and even drink mix-offs! There are also kids activities and game if you’d like to bring the little ones along.
No matter what you choose, you’ll always have something fun to do during the Winter in New York!
The seven passenger, 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander has just been awarded an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating, when equipped with its optional Touring Package*, for the fourth year in a row. To qualify for such a rating, the highest possible from the IIHS, a vehicle must receive a rating of good in five different crash tests, an acceptable or good rating for its headlights, and an advanced or superior rating for its front crash prevention system.

Mitsubishi Shares November Sales Numbers
As we head into the last month of 2016, Mitsubishi Motors North America has a lot to be grateful for. They have reported that their total sales for November were 6,896 units. Putting them ahead of November 2015 by 1.8 percent. Get a look at the other stats from last month, and be sure to come into DELLA Mitsubishi whenever you’re looking for a new vehicle.

- Mirage sales up 32 percent over last November
- Mitsubishi SUVs up 7.8 percent over last year

Mitsubishi Unveils the eX Concept
As the new year approaches, Mitsubishi is looking at what’s coming next. Inspired by the past, present, and future company designs, the brand brought the Mitsubishi eX Concept Compact SUV with them to the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show. Designers felt that the auto show was their opportunity to showcase their new Dynamic Shield front end design, their next generation EV system, Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, and a slew of other technological advancement.
“We have a very exciting plan to take Mitsubishi Motors to the next the level, and that plan is through crossovers and electrified vehicles,” said Don Swearingen, chief operating officer, MMNA. “The eX Concept redefines the future of the compact SUV and is representative of the company’s design direction, both inside and out. Kids Talk Safety at the 2016 LA Auto Show
Caleb and Candace are back and are taking over the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show. They turned up the cuteness and helped inform attendees about the new, advanced safety features of the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander. Check out the video below to see them be informative and adorable all at once!
Stay Safe After an Accident
Some drivers are lucky enough to never know the stress and, sometimes pain, that comes along with a car accident. While we certainly hope our Plattsburgh, NY; Burlington, VT; Potsdam, Lake Placid, and Malone, NY customers are some of the lucky ones, we want to make sure you know what to do if you’re not.
If You Can, Move
Obviously some accidents will immobilize you and/or your vehicle. But, if you can, move out of harm’s way to the shoulder or a nearby parking lot. If you can’t move, or if you’re moving much slower than the rest of traffic, turn your flashers on right away to alert other drivers.
Call 9-1-1
Even if the damage isn’t much, or the other parties involved say it isn’t necessary, you’re going to want a police report. This could come in handy if you end up in court or need documentation on damage done to your vehicle. If the authorities deem that it is unnecessary for them to come to the scene, they will prompt you on how to proceed.
Document Everything
An insurance company and/or an accident lawyer will be grateful for this. Take pictures of the scene and any damage to the vehicle or yourself with your phone or a disposable in your glovebox. Be sure to get contact information for everyone involved and any bystanders that saw the accident happen. It’s good to do this right away since time can distort your memory.
Know The Laws
Before hitting the road, it’s a good idea to know the laws of the state you’re in. If you’re someone that travels frequently, especially out of state, you’ll want to know the laws accompanying an accident. Is it an at-fault or no-fault state? Also, avoid admitting fault even if you know you were responsible. It is best to allow the authorities and insurance company to determine fault.
