Mitsubishi Outlander & Outlander Sport Are Your Teen’s Perfect Match
When your teen is ready for their first vehicle we are sure that what they want and what you want are probably a little different. For most teens, it is all about the look. The eye-catching body and smooth, sculpted lines draw them in before they have even gotten behind the wheel. Once they do climb inside however, their attention is drawn to the dashboard where they proceed to explore all of the features such as the Bluetooth® system that will allow them to talk on our phone and drive without risking a ticket, because let’s be honest, it’s not like any teenager is capable of being detached from their phone for long periods of time. At the end of the day all of the bells and whistles are what they are sure to notice first and why not? This means that the vehicles all have a starting MSRP of less than $20,000 and earned “Good” ratings in all of the IIHS crash safety tests. A shorter month didn’t stop Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. from turning out an impressive sales result. In fact, total February sales were up 38.8 percent over February 2016 after ending the month with 10,924 units sold. Sales were once again led by the popular Outlander with 3,665 units. Total sales for the month were up an outstanding 72.8 percent from last year making this its best February sales since 2003. The Mirage & Mirage G4 also had quite the impressive year-over-year increase, achieving a combined sales total of of 2,835 units which is 145 percent higher than last February.
Additional Highlights:

- Sales of the Outlander Sport reached 2,198 units

Vincentric has released the winners of their annual Best Value in America™ awards for 2017 and the Mitsubishi i-MiEV was selected as the winner in the Electric/Plug-in Hybrid segment. This is now the 13th year that Vincentric has presented these awards in recognition of vehicles that have the lowest projected cost of ownership based on their analysis of all the new vehicles available for the current model year.
In order to determine which vehicles offer the best overall value, Vincentric measures their cost-of-ownership by considering a specific set of factors that affect cost such as insurance, repairs, depreciation, opportunity cost, fees & taxes, maintenance, financing, and fuel. Taking these factors into account, Vincentric determines which vehicles have ownership costs that are lower than the other models in its segment. Vincentric evaluated more than 3,000 vehicle configurations throughout the U.S. using this method along with insurance profiles and a range of annual mileage intervals.
